[ Good day, everyone. Kirk wishes he could say that he was treating you to some spectacular sight, but it's probably one everyone has seen before - the view from atop the Luxe, looking out at your fair city - particularly in the direction of the park and cathedral. ]

Huh, all right, I guess it is. Ow-!

[ A hand comes into view of the screen, flicking itself rapidly before the view turned back to the city. ]

So, it looks like I've landed in some sort of city, and this thing I have attached to my ear is a communication device. If anyone's listening, care to confirm? 

[ There is a pause after those words, but it's ended abruptly by another short yelp, the video tossing wildly as the little piece of tech clatters to the ground. When it stills it shows a pair of clean black boots for a brief second, then is promptly picked up back. The video changes to a view of a man with bright blue eyes and fluffy golden hair. His lips are set in slight frown, looking only slightly irritated at his current situation. ]

Do me a favor next time - properly insulate your tech so it doesn't shock me every time I touch it. 

That being said, I should get to the introductions. My name is Captain James Tiberius Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise of the United Federation of Planets. I'm not exactly sure how it is I ended up here, but I appreciate anyone who can direct me to any of your long range communication devices so I can hail my ship. It's bad form for a captain to up and disappear on his crew right when he start out on a mission, you know.

[ He suddenly yelped and flinched, the device tumbling from his fingers and going dark. Great way to end that first impression, right? ]
